The Indonesian National Education Day or Hari Pendidikan Nasional Indonesia or abbreviated as Hardiknas is celebrated annually on 2 May, in remembrance of Ki Hajar Dewantara, the founder of educational philosophy Tut Wuri Handayani, which means that we can help others learn by coaching and mentoring.  The 2021 celebration bears the theme “Serentak Bergerak Wujudkan Merdeka Belajar” or “Simultaneously Move, Realizing the Freedom of Learning”.

“The Hardiknas celebration this year should be the beginning of designating every day as education day ,” said Mr Nadiem Anwar Makarim.  The virtual exhibition represents this goal, by utilizing  online platform to introduce the educational programs and achievements of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to broad audiences.
