BIOTROP Conducts Training on Operation and Maintenance of Microscopes

In response to technological advancement on research equipment, BIOTROP held a training on Operation and Maintenance of Microscopes on 20 April 2016 at its headquarter in Bogor in collaboration with PT Dynatech, Leica, Nikon, and CV Kharisma Scientific.

Specifically, the training was aimed to familiarize research staff on various kinds of microscopes as well as their proper operation and maintenance in support of research activities. Microscope types presented were: (1) 3D digital microscope; (2) Stereo Camera microscope; (3) Phase Contrast Camera and (4) Long Arm Microscope.

The resource persons were Drh Utami Dewi and Mr Erwin Hadian from PT Dynatech, Mr Indra Defista ST from Leica, Mr Kurnia from Nikon and Mr Yusuf Naruli from CV Kharisma Scientific.

Thirty- three participants attended this training consisting of BIOTROP’s research assistants and researchers, laboratory staff and students from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) and Universitas Juanda.
