Bogor, 22 January 2025 – SEAMEO BIOTROP held a Staff Meeting and Monday Mind Cloud Idea Forum at its convention hall from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This event was participated by all staff of SEAMEO BIOTROP, which aimed to strengthen team building and also socialization and discussion on future strategies and work programs.
The event was opened with a speech by Dr. Elis Rosdiawati, Deputy Director for Administration of SEAMEO BIOTROP, emphasizing the importance of team cohesion. In her address, she stated that BIOTROP is currently under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, under the coordination of the Bureau of Planning and Cooperation. She also outlined several quick wins as her priorities, including organizational restructuring, revitalization of gardens and visitor spots, improvement of staff welfare and motivation, formation of an urban farming trainer team, acceleration of administrative and facility services, and enhancement of financial accountability.
A crucial part of the event was the team-building session led by Mr. Tia Setiadarma who explained the concept of a team, its differences from a group, and the reasons why teamwork is essential. Participants also engaged in several simple games to enhance camaraderie. The stages of team development—forming, storming, and norming—were also discussed in this session.
Following the team-building session, the event continued with a joint prayer led by Mr (Ustadz) Zaenudin, followed by the midday prayer in congregation and a communal lunch.
In the next session, managers department presented various work programs FY 2025, including the School of Biodiversity, which serves as a platform for schools and teachers to understand and utilize biodiversity sustainably. Additionally, programs on urban farming, assets, partnerships, visits, publications, and facilities support were also presented.
