Bogor, Indonesia, 1 July 2026 — SEAMEO BIOTROP officially launched the Capstone Internship Program Batch 7 of 2026 through an onboarding session attended by approximately 30 participants, including internship students, the Centre's management, mentors, and representatives from partner universities. The program brings together students from Universitas Siliwangi, Universitas Padjadjaran, IPB University, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Over the next four months, participants will engage in practice-based learning through direct involvement in research, development, innovation, and knowledge dissemination activities at SEAMEO BIOTROP.
In his remarks, Director of SEAMEO BIOTROP, Dr. Edi Santosa, welcomed the participants and officially inaugurated the Onboarding Program for the Capstone Internship Batch 7 of 2026. He expressed his appreciation for the students' enthusiasm and commitment to joining the program, and encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their competencies, and gain valuable professional experience that will support their future careers.
Human Resource Manager, Ms. Tenni Wahyuni, congratulated the participants on successfully completing the selection process and becoming part of the Capstone Internship Program. She also introduced SEAMEO BIOTROP's professional work culture and explained the general provisions of the internship, including program regulations, dormitory facilities, and administrative procedures to support participants throughout the internship period.
During the orientation session, Internship Program Coordinator, Mr. Fitri Junaedi, outlined the implementation of the four-month program, covering the activity timeline, participants' rights and responsibilities, as well as the technical guidelines for the internship. Throughout the program, participants will be assigned to various units according to their academic backgrounds, including the Human Resource and Administration Department (HRAD), Facilities and Management Department (FMD), Knowledge and Management Department (KMD), Human Centre and Innovation Department (HCID), and Science Innovation and Technology Department (SITD).
Through the Capstone Internship Program Batch 7 of 2026, SEAMEO BIOTROP reaffirms its commitment to strengthening collaboration with higher education institutions while preparing competent, adaptive, and future-ready graduates. The program is expected to provide meaningful experiential learning opportunities and enable participants to contribute to research, innovation, and sustainable knowledge development in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.
