BIOTROP, CIAT Sign MoU

BIOTROP and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by their respective directors on 1 September 2017.

Both institutions agreed to collaborate in a number of areas to pursue education, research, training and community development objectives.

For the next three years, BIOTROP and CIAT will undertake programs, projects and related activities, and exchange expertise, scientific materials and information related to tropical biology and agriculture.

CIAT is an international research organization under the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) with a principal office in Cali, Columbia and Asia regional office in Hanoi, Vietnam. CGIAR is a global partnership that promotes sustainable development in agriculture for a food-secure future.
