Prof. Dr. Sumardi, the lead assessor of the National Accreditation Board (KAN), visited SEAMEO BIOTROP on 15-16 May 2008 to follow up on the implementation of ISO standards set forth by the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification.

The main purpose of the visit was to determine how far has the standard procedures of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 been implemented on the laboratory activities of the Services Laboratory since the Center achieved the certification.

Prof. Dr. Sumardi and his team were welcomed at the Jati room of SEAMEO BIOTROP by Dr. Bambang Purwantara, Deputy Director for Resources Management and Communication (DDRMC); Mr. Ith Vuthy, Deputy Director for Program and Marketing (DDPM); Mr. Sunjaya, Quality Manager of Services Laboratory; Dr. Hartrisari, Top Manager of Services Laboratory and Mrs. Santi Ambarwati, Technical Manager; their technicians and other BIOTROP staff.
