SEAMEO BIOTROP Strengthens Preparations for the 64th Governing Board Meeting through Internal Coordination Meeting

Bogor, 6 May 2026 – SEAMEO BIOTROP conducted an internal coordination meeting in preparation for the 64th Governing Board Meeting (GBM) and the development of its annual report at Jati Room, SEAMEO BIOTROP. The meeting was attended by the Board of Directors (BoD), managers, and staff members from various departments within SEAMEO BIOTROP.

The meeting was part of SEAMEO BIOTROP’s efforts to strengthen internal coordination in ensuring the readiness of the upcoming GBM as well as the preparation of the institution’s annual report, which serves as an important document highlighting the organization’s programs, activities, and achievements over the past year.

During the meeting, participants discussed various technical and substantive aspects related to the GBM preparations, including the division of working committees, the assignment of roles and responsibilities for each team, the finalization of the event’s visual identity and logo, publication and communication strategies, the readiness of supporting documents, and technical arrangements for welcoming delegates and participants.

In addition to the GBM preparations, the meeting also focused on the preparation of the SEAMEO BIOTROP annual report. Each department presented updates on data collection, program achievements, activity documentation, publications, and other institutional contributions to be included in the report.

Director of SEAMEO BIOTROP, Edi Santosa, emphasized that the successful implementation of the GBM and the completion of the annual report require active collaboration from all working units. According to him, both agendas play an important role in strengthening institutional governance and showcasing SEAMEO BIOTROP’s contributions at both national and regional levels.

During the discussion session, each department also presented its readiness and follow-up plans in accordance with its respective responsibilities. The coordination meeting further served as a platform to strengthen interdepartmental communication in supporting more structured and collaborative program implementation.

Through this activity, SEAMEO BIOTROP hopes that the preparation of the Governing Board Meeting and the annual report will proceed optimally and reflect the institution’s commitment to enhancing governance quality, transparency, and regional cooperation in the fields of tropical biology and sustainable development.
