In 2025, SEAMEO BIOTROP reached national and regional participants through a series of trainings, workshops, and seminars focused on biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, and Agro-Eco-Edu-Tourism (AEET). Throughout the year, more than 3,100 participants from Indonesia and multiple countries across Asia and Africa took part in hands-on learning activities, supported by BIOTROP’s learning and research facilities, including laboratories, greenhouses, aquatic gardens, and biodiversity education sites.
These programs strengthened cross-country alumni networks and promoted knowledge exchange on biodiversity conservation and sustainable food systems. Through regional collaborations with universities, SEAMEO Centres, and international partners, BIOTROP Training 2025 contributed to the dissemination of best practices, capacity building, and regional cooperation in advancing sustainable development agendas.
