A SUMMER COURSE ON RESILIENCE IN AGRICULTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

The Graduate School and Natural Resources and Environmental Management Study Program of IPB University held the International Summer Course Program for Agriculture and Ecosystem Resilience to Environmental Disaster toward Regional Sustainability on 11 - 20 September 2022. This program aimed to share knowledge on regional sustainability by using various research on disaster prevention, agriculture, and ecosystem resilience from disasters and social technological disruptions.

The Vice Chancellor for Internationalization, Cooperation, and Alumni Relations of IPB University, Prof Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat delivered his opening remarks at this event.  He shared his expectation that this program can be used as the first step toward a long-term inter-university student mobility program to create better understanding and stronger cooperation among involved countries.

The Director of SEAMEO BIOTROP, Dr  Zulhamsyah Imran also participated in this program as a lecturer in the inaugural lecture in this program. Dr  Zulhamsyah presented material about Coastal and Small Islands Ecosystem Resilience and Mitigation.

The summer course program was implemented in a hybrid platform and actively participated by postgraduate students from six universities in Indonesia and abroad.  (asa, sis).
