SEAMEO BIOTROP's campus was abuzz with excitement as we warmly welcomed the esteemed delegates of Universitas Jember, led by Dr. Erlia Narulita, the Head of Biology Education Program of Universitas Jember, on tuesday, 1st August 2023.
During the fruitful gathering, Ms. Dewi Suryani and Ms. Sri Widayanti from SEAMEO BIOTROP extended a gracious welcome to the 20 delegates, laying the foundation for meaningful collaboration. Dr. Erlia Narulita expressed her intent to implement the 2011 MoA between SEAMEO BIOTROP and Universitas Jember. Exciting prospects lie ahead, including internship programs for students and lecturers, with a special focus on research for bees.
Universitas Jember's passion for Biological Education and Learning resonates with BIOTROP's mission, paving the way for a dynamic partnership. Together, we aspire to foster cooperation in research, learning, and implementation of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program. Through focal points of Genetics and Biotechnology (plants and animals), Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Plant and Crop Science, Biodiversity Conservation, and Learning Innovation - University of Jember is ready for future collaboration and partnership activities with BIOTROP.
After the welcoming ceremony, the delegates from University of Jember were given a tour of SEAMEO BIOTROP's facilities, such as natural product laboratory, biotechnology laboratory, herbarium, as well as visiting its Agro-Eco-Edu-Tourism facilities.
