BIOTROP formalized its partnership commitment with Pertamina Foundation and the One Day School Ceria - Eduwisata Program of West Java Province during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony on 1 October 2013 at Hotel Santika, Bogor, Indonesia. The MoU signing took place after the opening program of BIOTROP’s 51st Governing Board Meeting.

The BIOTROP – Pertamina Foundation MoU was signed by BIOTROP Dr. Bambang Purwantara and Ms Nina Nurlina Pramono, Head of the Pertamina Foundation.  The aim of this collaboration is to improve the tree conservation program of Pertamina Foundation performed by volunteers in various places of Indonesia through experts’ advice from BIOTROP. Pertamina Foundation is a non-profit organization, established on 12 January 2011, which aims for societal and human development through focused and sustainable education and environment interventions.

On the other hand, Dr. Bambang signed the MOU with the Head of the One Day School Ceria- Eduwisata Program, Ir. Abdul Hadi Wijaya MS. This collaboration aims to promote the concept of “Green School” and “Green Entrepreneurship” among students, teachers, and community households in West Java through appropriate quality education and sustainable natural resource-based community enterprise development interventions.  The School, located in Bandung City,  provides elementary and high school education under a carefully designed learning environment and curriculum for the academic and social skills development of their students.

The MoUs will involve research, training, and information exchange activities between parties effective until 2016.
