SEAMEO BIOTROP organizes Workshop on E- Procurement of Goods and Services - 186 time(s) visited

SEAMEO BIOTROP sponsored a workshop on e-Procurement of Goods and Services for 38 participants from eight institutions under the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) on 14 April 2011 at the Centre’s headquarter in Bogor.

The workshop was aimed to orient Commitment Making officers (PPK), procurement officers, staff of procurement services units and procurement committees of governement institutions on the procedures in carrying out procurement of goods and services electronically. This e-procurement system is expected to be implemented in all instituions under MoNE effective 2012.

In his welcome remarks, SEAMEO BIOTROP Director Dr Bambang Purwantara expressed his support to MoNE’s policy of using e-procurement sytem with the hope that it will make procurement processes more efficient and eventually will optimize government budget spending by concerned institutions.

The workshop was conducted in collaboration with MoNE’s Electronic Procurement Services Bureau (LPSE) and coordinated by Ms. Sri Widayanti of SEAMEO BIOTROP.

The participants came from SEAMEO BIOTROP, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Sekolah Menengah Analis Kimia Bogor (SMAKBO), Balai Penelitian Veteriner (BALITVET), SEAMEO Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (RECFON), and three SEAMEO Regional Centres for Quality Improvement in Teaching and Education Personnel (QITEP) in Science, Mathematics and Language.
