SEAMEO BIOTROP added PT Trubus Swadaya and PT Sinar Puspapersada in its list of collaborating agencies this year during a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing that took place on 28 February 2011 at the Centre’s Convention Hall. The MOU signing was  part of the SEAMEO BIOTROP’s 43rd anniversary celebration witnessed by 150 guests and staff members.

With PT Trubus Swadaya, the Centre will share its expertise on sustainable use of natural resources and biodiversity conservation for public welfare through trainings, seminars, and publications. PT Trubus Swadaya is a company based in Jakarta that is engaged in plant, seed, and fruit production, provision of agricultural services, and publication of a monthly magazine relating to agriculture. The MOU, which has a 5-year effectivity, was signed by SEAMEO BIOTROP Director Bambang Purwantara and PT Trubus Swadaya Director Mr Onny Untung.

With PT Sinar Puspapersada, on the other hand, the Centre will provide technical assistance in designing and promoting  a pro-biodiversity conservation program in Talaga Bastari-Tangerang Residential Complex towards establishing an eco-learning community among its residents. PT Sinar Puspapersada is a real estate company based in Jakarta that advocates green living and biodiversity learning city in the development of residential areas. The MOU was signed by Dr. Bambang and Mr. Teguh Prayitno, PT Sinar Puspapersada Director, and will be enforce within a 5-year period.
