The General Administration Unit of SEAMEO BIOTROP has organized a Training Course on Master of Ceremony and Ethic and Performance, Bogor on 26-27 May 2010. The training course was attended by 27 participants and officially declared open by the Director of SEAMEO BIOTROP, Dr. Bambang Purwantara.

Sixteen participants came from partner institutions, namely: SEAMEO TROPMED, SEAMOLEC, QITEP in Math, QITEP in Language, University of Pakuan Bogor, Balitnak Ciawi, Bogor Agricultural University and University of Juanda Bogor, while the other 11 participants were SEAMEO BIOROP Staff.

As reported by the Course Coordinator, Mrs. Moidy Mohede at the opening ceremony, the objectives of the training course were to train the participants to become a professional master of ceremony as well as professional staff.  After having attended   this training course, participants are expected to implement the skill in their organizations.

Resource persons of the training course were:

1.    Hj. S. Indrawati Azron (BTIC Manajer, Senior staff of SEAMEO BIOTROP, Alumnus of Communication Skills Training at SEAMEO Regional Language Centre – RELC, Singapore)
2.    Mrs. Lisa Nuryanti (Master Trainer and President Director of Expands Consulting, former International Director of John Robert Powers).

All participants hoped that SEAMEO BIOTROP will regularly organize similar events in the near future.
