7th International Conference in Science and Mathematics (CoSMEd)

We are pleased to invite you to participate in this seventh (7th) biennial international conference to be held in SEAMEO RECSAM, Penang, Malaysia. The organising of such a conference brings many benefits such as providing more opportunities for science and mathematics educators in the region to disseminate their research findings. The conference also contributes significantly towards improving the standard of science and mathematics education. The first CoSMEd was initiated in 2005 and four more conferences in the CoSMEd series have been successfully held in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.


  • 1. To provide a platform to review issues, exchange ideas and share experiences on the development of science and mathematics education at all levels.
  • 2. To discuss developments in information and communication technology integration to improve learning of science and mathematics.
  • 3. To exchange ideas on continuing professional development as a means to sustain the preparation of high quality science and mathematics teachers.
  • 4. To encourage sharing of knowledge, skills, and experiences with experts working on new strategies to sustain science and mathematics education reforms in teaching and assessment.
  • 5. To strengthen professional networking among science and mathematics educators both locally and globally.
    6. To widen professional contacts and to enhance cooperation among a consortium of international organisations and educational institutions to facilitate greater dissemination and exchange of expertise at an international level.


Important Notice!

The author has agreed to the terms and agreement that all abstracts and papers submitted have not been sent out to any other publication. The author will be required to complete the copyrights transfer agreement.

All papers will be peer-reviewed for the conference. Only selected quality papers will be considered to be published in SCOPUS/ISI Journals (for certain fee) or in the Book of Proceedings based on the evaluation by Chief Editors, Review Editors and CoSMEd 2017 Secretariat in the second round of peer-review after the conference.
