RCE Bogor’s stakeholder meeting held on 6 June 2008. This meeting is focused on needs assessment of the stakeholders regarding the programs of RCE Bogor for 2008. The result of the meeting is: “learning by action is more effective compare to the theory in the classroom”. RCE Bogor will facilitate the needs by inserting the practical/implementation of the theory in the programs for 2008. The first implementation is in the ESD Seminar on 19 June 2008. The theme of the Seminar is: Education for Sustainable Development: “Environmental Conservation and Economic Value Added Plastic Bag and Newspaper Waste”. In the second session of this seminar, the speaker will present and teach about environmental conservation using “bio-pores” technique and produce handicrafts from newspaper waste. The seminars will be attended by 70 participants from various institutions. Articles related to ESD activities from schoolteachers and drawing from students will be presented in the poster session.
