SEAMEO BIOTROP has organized an  in-house seminar  on a “General Overview of Corporate Image” held on 18 November 2010 at MIT Building, This is the first of a seminar series  on Corporate Image conducted for BIOTROP staff . The speaker of the seminar is  Dr. Jesus C. Fernandez.

The objectives of the seminar series are :  to gain basic understanding and appreciation of  corporate image; to take an inventory of the “images” that other people have about the center; to formulate the kind of corporate image we want for the center; and to identify areas needing improvement.

Dr. Jesus C. Fernandez explained that the  image of a company describes the attitudes, activities, products and services  as recognized by its audiences. A good corporate image can be achieved if the company  pays attention to the  long-term reputation development,  performs functions and activities based on clear and effective policies, maintains fairness, honesty and efficiency in any transaction / agreement, and  meets the information needs of shareholders and their right to know about  the organization.
