On 11-12 January 2010, the external auditor of SUCOFINDO International Certification Services conducted external audit at SEAMEO BIOTROP.

The purpose of this external audit is to ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) has been implemented in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 requirements. Mr. Jamaludin Malik and Mrs. Dian Indrawaty acted as the auditors.

Dr. Bambang Purwantara, SEAMEO BIOTROP Director, officially declared open the external audit attended by all BIOTROP staff.

The auditors were in charge of examining the implementation of ISO 9001:2008 conducted by BIOTROP Management, BIOTROP Research Laboratories, BIOTROP Unit (Information Resources Unit, Facilities Management Unit, Finance Unit, Human Resource Unit, Information Technology Unit, General Administration Unit, Enterprise Development Center Unit and MSc in IT for NRM Unit.

External audits consisted of several activities, such as the checking of documents, quality policy and quality objective, quality manual and procedures, document conformity with the implementation, complete document, data recording and other supporting documents.
