SEAMEO BIOTROP has adopted three public schools (SMA Negeri 1, 3 and 7) in Bogor in its desire to strengthen its involvement in the SEAMEO Quality and Equity in Education (QEE) program and assist in transforming schools into learning centres. Initially, BIOTROP assists in the improvement of school administration and education management through the use of information technology. To realize this, BIOTROP has installed the Local Area Network and computer server in each school. The centre has also donated a complete set of computer, scanner, and software. Three staff from BIOTROP IT Unit have been assigned to provide technical assistance to each of these schools.
